Ministry consultant Jason Lehman has identified a consistent pattern: churches approach communication from the inside out, treating their digital presence as an accomplishment rather than a vehicle for reaching people who don’t yet know them. The result is a series of perception barriers between pastor, congregation, and community that leave people confused about who a church is and whether it’s worth a visit. In this presentation, Jason unpacks why this is such a widespread problem and what churches can do right now to communicate more clearly and remove the friction keeping people at a distance.
