This class is designed with the layperson in mind. However, pastors and seminary students can benefit significantly from this course.

The sessions will integrate theological principles with psychological insights, enabling the student to address the spiritual, emotional, and mental needs of those they serve. This field of study emphasizes the importance of empathy, active listening, and ethical considerations, ensuring that seminary students can offer compassionate and informed guidance.

Professor Will Max is a seasoned Mental Health Director with over 40 years of experience in the fields of counseling and trauma care. He holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in theology from Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology. In addition to his clinical and academic work, Will has served in pastoral counseling—supporting individuals, couples, and premarital partners with wisdom and empathy. He has been a guest speaker and guest pastor speaking on strengthening the family in challenging times bringing a powerful message of hope, healing, and family resilience.

This annual men’s event will be hosted by Iglesia el Camino, a ministry of Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente. Our speaker is Pastor Dr. Fermín García the founding pastor of Grupo Unido Tj (1979), a counselor, and an apologist. Tickets are $15.
